2. Overview

This website is an early, pre-launch marketing page for the Illucent product suite. It does not currently include user accounts, sign-up forms, or third-party tracking. The sections below describe exactly what is processed today.

3. Hosting and server log files

This site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps in the "West Europe" region (Netherlands, EU). Whenever you visit, the hosting infrastructure automatically records technical information in server log files, typically your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, date and time of the request, and the amount of data transferred.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website reliably and securely and is based on our legitimate interest in the stable and secure operation of our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data stays within Microsoft's EU data centers and is retained only as long as necessary for security and operational purposes, in line with Microsoft's own commitments (see Microsoft's privacy statement).

4. Domain and DNS

Our domain is managed through Cloudflare, Inc., which provides DNS resolution and network infrastructure for illucent.io. Depending on configuration, Cloudflare may process visitors' IP addresses as part of routing requests to our hosting provider. Where this involves a transfer outside the EU/EEA, Cloudflare relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and its own data protection commitments (see Cloudflare's privacy policy).

5. Local storage (theme preference)

If you switch between light and dark mode, your preference is saved in your browser's local storage under the key illucent-theme. This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party, so we do not process it as personal data. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

6. Contacting us

If you email us, we process your address and message only to respond to your inquiry, based on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, where your message relates to a prospective contract, in preparation of that contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete this correspondence once it is no longer needed.

7. Planned features

We plan to introduce an early-access waitlist, an optional newsletter, and privacy-friendly analytics limited to aggregate metrics such as page views and time on page. None of these are live yet. Before any of them launch, we will update this policy with the specific purposes, legal basis, retention periods, and providers involved — and where consent is legally required, such as for newsletter marketing under § 174 TKG 2021, we will ask for it explicitly and separately from any other purpose.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of, and restriction of processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest.
